The CEFood Congress is organised with support of the European Federation of Food Science and Technology (EFFoST), as agreed by the previous CEFood Congress organisers. Previous CEFood congresses were held in Ljubljana, Slovenia (2002); Budapest, Hungary (2004); Sofia, Bulgaria (2006); Cavtat, Croatia (2008); Bratislava, Slovakia (2010); Novi Sad, Serbia (2012), Ohrid, Macedonia (2014), Kiev, Ukraine (2016), Sibiu, Romania (2018), 2021 as VC, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina, and 2022 in Terme Čatež, Slovenia.  

The 12th Central European Conference on Food 2024 (CEFood 2024), to be held in the serene and picturesque city of Szeged, Hungary, from October 13th to 16th, 2024. 

CEFOOD welcomes all countries belonging to the Central European Initiative and other (neighbouring) countries to submit a bid to organise the next CEFOOD Congress in 2026. 

Organisations that would like to be considered as a host of the CEFood Congress, have to complete and submit an Expression of Interest, at least two years before the Congress year. The deadline for the document submission is 1 October 2024.
