Day 1: Kicking Off at EHEDG Head Office
The adventure began at the EHEDG Head Office in Amsterdam, where participants delved into the world of EHEDG and Young EFFoST. The evening was capped off with a delightful dinner featuring wine and pizza, creating the perfect atmosphere for mentors and mentees to bond and network.
Day 2: Immersed at Unilever Headquarters
The next day, we moved to Unilever Headquarters in Rotterdam. Here, participants received a warm welcome and an introduction to Unilever, followed by 1:1 sessions. For many mentor-mentee pairs, this was their first face-to-face meeting, which strengthened their partnerships. While our mentoring program is mainly online, rest assured that in-person meetups like this, as well as special sessions at the EFFoST Conference, will give you opportunities to meet in person.
The afternoon session featured Jocelyn Rebbens, a keynote speaker, coach, and psychologist, guiding us through self-exploration with positive psychology and effective communication techniques. We discovered the LIFO® (Life Orientations method) in business communication. Before the workshop, participants completed a survey on their personas and behaviours, a process you'll also experience before the program starts. Jocelyn will attend the EFFoST Conference in Bruges to kick off the next round.
Day 3: Insights at Intralox/Commercial Food Sanitation L.L.C.
The final day took us to Intralox/Commercial Food Sanitation L.L.C. in Hoofddorp. This session was packed with valuable insights and practical takeaways that reshaped our perspectives on food safety and operational management. We emphasized the importance of seeing the bigger picture through interactive learning to make informed, sustainable decisions. These activities highlighted the need for a holistic understanding of the decision-making process.
As we move forward, expect more opportunities for growth, connection, and discovery, making the EYE Mentorship Programme an unforgettable journey!
"The EYE program is a truly enriching experience where I have the unique opportunity to interact with an experienced professional in my field who supports me in my professional and personal development. Especially the midway event of the program was a great occasion to meet in person and to connect with the other mentoring couples. I will certainly be able to benefit from the experiences and encounters during the mentoring program for a long time to come.” - Kate, a PhD student at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna
